Kawartha and Haliburton Community Fruit Tree and Vegetable Harvesting and Sharing program

Are you an in-town or rural landowner that has fruit trees that produce edible fruit?
Are you a gardener who has extra vegetables at the end of the season?

Register

If so, you can join us by registering here:

Your contact and tree or available vegetable information will be added to a map that will only be seen/available by our local food program partners
Harvest

Staff from these programs could contact you in the fall to arrange a time that is convenient for you for volunteer harvesters to come to your home and pick the fruit or vegetables

The harvest from each fruit pick is split 3 ways: ⅓ is provided to the landowner, ⅓ is split amongst the picking volunteers, and ⅓ will be delivered by the volunteers to the food program. This food program will share your fruit with seniors, adults and children in your community that are hungry, live in poverty and are in need

Your information will, like landowner's information, only be available to our food program partners. They may contact you at harvest time to request your help to pick/harvest/glean fruit and/or vegetables to share with the landowners & yourself, and to deliver 1/3 of the harvest to the food program.
